The first and best storm in 1998:

This storm was so active it was unbelievable.  This isn't a long exposure, the shutter was open for less than four minutes.

More lightning from the same storm which was near the Iron Knob iron ore mine west of Whyalla. 

This is one of my favourite photos, that isn't the sun setting, it's the moon setting.
